The Falcon Inn, dating back to the 16th century is set in the idyllic hamlet of Castle Ashby, just a few miles away from Northampton, Wellingborough and Milton Keynes. The Falcon is a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life whilst still being a daily commutable distance to the city centres. The Marquis of Northampton’s family have owned the 10,000-acre Castle Ashby estate for over four centuries.
The team at the Falcon are always ready to welcome you to our hotel with a warm smile, a glass of something refreshing and some delicious freshly cooked food.
Our Bedrooms
Our 16 bedrooms are all en-suite with 6 rooms in the main building and a further 10 in our cottages adjacent to the hotel. We have TVs in every room, free wifi, tea and coffee facilities and free parking. We also have a purpose built accessible room with en-suite wet room. Some of our rooms are dog friendly.
Functions
The Falcon inn provides the perfect setting for weddings, corporate events and private parties. We hold a license for civil ceremonies. Whether you want a meeting for 2 people or a wedding for 120, we can accommodate you. We have the purpose built Compton Suite which holds up to 22 boardroom or 40 people theatre style, our syndicate room, the Ashby with it’s own private foyer and our marquee that overlooks our beautiful gardens.
Food and Drink
Our bar menu is available Monday – Saturday lunchtimes and Monday – Thursday evenings and offers pub classics as well as lighter snacks. The A la carte menu runs every evening Monday – Saturday offering a varied selection of classic food with a modern twist. On Sundays we offer a traditional roast dinner a la carte menu at both lunchtime and in the evening.
The Ideal Venue
Situated just a few minutes walk from the impressive Castle Ashby grounds and Rural Shopping Yard, there are plenty of countryside walks and breathtaking views in the local area. Nearby there is golf, horse riding, fishing and shooting and for the more adventurous guests, Silverstone, Woburn and Althorp are just a short drive away.
